My name is Phillip Ankerson, and I started Mr DJ By the Bay Professional Mobile Disc Jockey service approximately five years ago. Combining my life-long love for playing music with a desire to provide a quality, professional
service, I started small, and to be honest, I still am! I decided to remain a single-operator service in order to offer personal, one-on-one service, and to assure my clients that they were hiring not only a qualified disc jockey, but partnering with
an associate who truly cares about the success of each event.
The most important business aspects to me are honesty and integrity. That is why I post my prices so that you know up front what you will pay. I encourage a personal meeting so that we can both decide if this partnership is right for both parties involved.
While I specialize in Weddings, I also do Corporate Events & Parties, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Reunions, and Cheerleading or Dance Competitions.

Backup equipment is on-site for your event.
I carry a music library of approximately 6800 digital tracks, which includes songs from the Top 200 Lists compiled by WeDJ.com, Mobile Beat Magazine, and other popular wedding sites. In most cases, special requests can be acquired with a 48-hour notice.
I will dress appropriately for your event, according to your wishes. Whether it be a tuxedo, suit and tie, or business casual, I will always present a professional look.
I consider myself to be semi-interactive, and will manage microphone time according to the style of event you are looking for. I will not be "mic-happy", nor will I be a "human jukebox."

Much of the success of your event is the result of several hours of programming the music, from meeting with you to discuss your musical styles and tastes, to timely song placement. Many times the direction of the event can turn and I constantly read the crowd and make adjustments as needed. And of course, requests are always welcome!
Whenever appropriate for the venue, a moderate lighting system will be included. Other services offered for your consideration are secondary sound systems, wedding ceremony music and coordination and/or assistance, and a dance floor lighting upgrade in varying degrees. I will be happy to discuss these services with you in more detail.
Utilizing a Computerized Performance System (CPS), high quality, professional-grade equipment from trusted manufacturers such as JBL, Numark, Chauvet, and Sennheiser, and the latest hits from the Promo Only music subscription service, you can be sure that the system will look and sound great!
